Benjamin Pech (born on April 3, 1974 in Béziers) attended a jazz dance school from the age of eight, and he began his classical ballet training two years later, in Montpellier (1985). He joined the Paris Opéra Ballet School in 1986 and attended all its school years, taking part in the annual performances and the tours (in Japan and U.S.A.).
After joining the Paris Opéra Ballet in 1992, he was promoted to Coryphée in 1994 and Sujet in 1997.

He danced roles in the main ballets of the repertory, such as Passacaille (Roland Petit, 1994), Signes (Carolyn Carlson, 1997) and Sylvia (John Neumeier, 1997). Since 1996 he has danced soloist roles in The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote and La Bayadère (Rudolf Nureyev), Giselle (Jean Coralli and Jules Perrot), Vaslaw (John Neumeier), Manon (Kenneth MacMillan).

He was promoted to Premier Danseur in 1999; he danced In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated (William Forsythe), IXe Symphonie, Le Concours and the title role in The Firebird by Maurice Béjart, the title role in Clavigo, Frollo in Notre-Dame de Paris, Frédéri in L’Arlésienne (Roland Petit), Appartement (Mats Ek), In the Night (Jerome Robbins), Stepping Stones and Bella Figura (Jirí Kylián). He also danced James in La Sylphide (Lacotte after Taglioni), Solor in La Bayadère, Siegfried in Swan Lake, the Dancing-Master in Cinderella, Romeo in Romeo and Juliet (Rudolf Nureyev), Frantz in Coppélia (Patrice Bart), Shéhérazade (Blanca Li), the title role in Prodigal Son, Emeralds/Jewels, Symphony in C, Liebeslieder Walzer, Concerto Barocco (George Balanchine), Un Trait d’union (Angelin Preljocaj), Albrecht in the classical Giselle, the friend in Les Noces (Bronislava Nijinska). He created a role in Michèle Noiret Les Familiers du Labyrinthe (2005).
